About Sharon
You may be reading this because you want to know a little more about me.
Before I share what I do, I want to share where things began to shift.
Within a short period of time, much changed.
My beloved mother passed away, and two months later my horse, who had been part of my life for over fifteen years, died suddenly.
At the same time, my work and long-standing friendships began to change as well. My nervous system was a wreck.
What slowly brought me back to ground was something simple and often forgotten: rest, and calming the nervous system — not as something extra, but as a priority.
Even as a body-based therapist, this understanding truly settled for me at the age of 48.
I had already been hosting a well-listened-to podcast, and this new one is a continuation, now in English, moving through a deeper, embodied layer the body recognizes immediately.
As you listen, the nervous system settles, and understanding arises not through effort, but through felt experience.
My hope is that this space feels like a place to land, offering calm, clarity, and a quieter way of living full of joy.
In case you need to hear it today:
you already have what you need.
We’ll take it one breath at a time.
Trust your pace.
And trust your proces
I am with you
Professional Bio
Sharon Hanegraaf is the founder of Raafwerk, based in the Netherlands.
Since 2003, she has been working internationally with thousands individuals, groups, and professionals through somatic and systemic coaching, breathwork, and embodied practices — both in one-to-one settings and in professional training programs.
Sharon is known as a pioneer in embodied leadership. Her work weaves together breath, body, psyche, and energetic awareness, creating space for transformation that unfolds from the inside out rather than being imposed from the outside.
What defines her guidance is a rare combination of clarity and gentleness. She has a natural ability to sense what truly matters, while holding a calm, grounded field of safety. Her work is soft and honest, compassionate and direct — inviting people to fully inhabit themselves again: in their bodies, relationships, work, and leadership.
